Practical Information

Keflavík International Airport (KEF) is 50km from Reykjavík. Direct flights available from London, New York, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. Flybus connects the airport to the city centre in approximately 45 minutes.

Renting a 4WD is the best way to explore. The Ring Road (Route 1) circles the entire island in 7–10 days. Public buses are limited outside Reykjavík.

Reykjavík offers boutique design hotels, guesthouses, and hostels. Book ring road accommodation months ahead for summer travel. Farm stays are unique and affordable.
